Smoke On Aviation, based out of Louisville, Kentucky, is a passionate and dedicated team of volunteer pilots who specialize in formation flying for various events, including airshows, veteran ceremonies, and memorials. The organization is renowned for its commitment to safety, adhering to a rigorous training program that follows the Formation Flying, Inc. (FFI) procedures.

Smoke On Aviation’s mission goes beyond flying; they aim to inspire and educate the community through spectacular aerial demonstrations and to honor those who have served in the military. Their performances are not just displays of skill but also tributes to historical aviation achievements and the legacy of veterans.

The team comprises experienced pilots from diverse backgrounds, including commercial aviation, military service, and recreational flying. Key members include:

Dave S. "Kicks": Co-founder and UPS pilot with over 14,000 flight hours, known for his leadership in formation flying.

Jeff S. "Peewee": Co-founder and manufacturing engineer with around 400 hours of flight experience.

Curt R. "Geno": A former UPS pilot with over 19,000 hours of flight time.

Michael G. "Yips": A FedEx ground driver and YouTube content creator with over 500 hours of flight time.

Smoke On Aviation is a staple at many regional airshows and events. Some of their notable performances include:

Thunder Over Louisville: A premier airshow in Louisville, where they kick off the event with impressive formation flights.

Wings for Kids: A charity event in Louisville that combines aerial performances with fundraising for children’s causes.
